Firestorm quartz is a material invented by the ancient fire giants of Lorind, and used to produce weapons; it is painfully hot at all times.
The manufacturing process has been lost to the ages, but chunks of the material can still be found in ruins and tombs.
The material looks glassy and pink with red streaks.
Weapons made of firestorm quarts grant a +3 to attack rolls and damage, as well as additional fire damage on each attack equal to the damage die of the weapon.
If the user is not resistant or immune to fire damage, they take 1d4 fire damage per turn while holding a weapon of this material.
Firestorm quartz weaponry cannot be made magical to stack the bonuses to attack and damage, and does not count as magical for the purposes of damage resistance.
